Agrobiological characteristic:

Milana is an early-ripening pink dessert variety. Its grapes ripen in mid-August. The duration of the growing season is about 150 days. The Milana variety has medium to strong growth. The vines of the variety are highly leafy. In ground cultivation and training Guyot, in the region of Pleven, Milana has high fertility and yield, which by years are relatively constant. In ground cultivation, depending on the strength of the vines, Guyot training may be applied with a fruiting unit length of 14 to 16 eyes. In stem cultivation, shorter fruiting units are left. In order to improve the quality of the grapes, it is necessary to carry out milling and partial removal of the leaves in the area of the grapes. The variety is not prone to combing and millerandazh. Distinguishes with very good pollination and fertilization. Milana variety is susceptible to fungal diseases mana and oidium and relatively resistant to gray rot. It is sensitive to low winter temperatures. Milana develops and bears well on the mats Chasla x Berlandieri 41B and Berlandieri x Riparia So4.

Technological characteristic:

By the mechanical composition of the grapes, the Milana variety is a typical dessert variety. It is characterized by a low relative share of clusters (2.93 %), seeds (1,26 %) and skins (2,81 %) and with a high percentage of grains in the bunches (97.06 %) and mesocarp (95,45 %). The grapes of the Milana variety accumulate enough sugars and titratable acids. It is suitable for fresh consumption. It has very good transportability. After storage, it retains its appearance and taste qualities.
