Mission and objectives

For more than a century, the Institute of Vine and Wine has successfully fulfilled its main mission – to work for the prosperity of Bulgarian wine science, to consolidate its achievements nationally and internationally. In response to the challenges posed to this sector during the different periods of our history, the Institute has formed its main objectives – the creation, development and implementation of scientific and applied products that provide competent and cost-effective solutions to problems that have arisen in practice; preservation and increase of the genetic wealth of the vine in our country; promotion of viticulture and wine-growing and the results of scientific research in these areas of agrarian science.
