Pleven dew

Name and synonyms:
Plevenska rosa
Origin and distribution:
Pleven dew is created by the method of sexual hybridization by crossing the varieties Kailashki ruby (Pamid x Hybrid VI 2/15) x (Game Noir x Vitis amurensis)) x Druzhba ((Misket Hamburg x Save Villar 12 375) x (Zarya Severa x Misket Hamburg)) by M. Ivanov, V. Valchev, Z. Nakov, M. Todorova, T. Slavcheva, V. Haigorov, T. Yoncheva at the Institute of Vine and Wine - Pleven. It was approved by the IASAS in 2009 by Order No RD-12-22/16.04.2009 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Patented in 2010. Certificate No 10871. The variety is distributed mainly in the Experimental Base of the Pleven IVV and many personal vineyards. The number of the variety in the Vitis International Variety Catalogue (VIVC) is 16719.
Botanical description:
It's a bud. A mossy, red periphery.
A young summer-racel. The crown is slightly mossy (cotton). Young leaves are naked, waxy-yellow colored. The shooter is naked, slightly curved at the top.
It's a mature summer tree. The internodes are medium long (about 8.6 cm), medium thick, light brown with longitudinal stripes. Mustaches are medium, slightly branched, most often woody.
Sheet. The mat is medium-sized (15.9/17.2 cm), the length varies from 12.6 cm to 19.8 cm and the width from 13.2 cm to 20.0 cm; medium-sized – 72 %, large – 28 %thick, wider than long, medium-cut, tripartite. The outline of the middle partition forms a sharp angle. The pethura is folded up indefinitely. The upper surface is mesh wrinkled, and the lower slightly mossy and slightly bristly. The upper crests are mostly deep (deep 66 %, braids 22 %, medium depth 16 %), open in the form of an angle. The lower cuts are mostly shallow, with parallel sides and a rounded bottom. The tail cut is most often open, lyrical with a sharp bottom. The upper teeth are medium-sized, triangular, with a wide base. The end teeth are small to medium-sized, triangular with slightly convex sides. Nervature is well defined, naked to slightly mossy, slightly bristly, top and bottom light yellowish. The handle is short, medium-thick, slightly bristly, green with a violet hue. Autumn coloring of the petra is yellow.
Grapes. The grapes are medium-sized (13.2/8.8 cm), cylindrical to cylindrical-conical loose. The average mass of a bunch is 160.1 g. The stalk of the bunch is on average 4.4 cm long, thin, green, brittle, tough, without a mustache. The bead is green. The stem of the nipple is medium (6.6 mm), with a small flat bed covered with warts. The brush is short, pale yellowish-green.
Grain. The grain is oval, mostly medium (14.84/12.40 mm). The skin is greenish-yellow, with a weak waxy paste, thin, tough. The consistency is juicy. The taste is harmonious with a pleasant miskete aroma.
Agrobiological characteristic:
Pleven dew is an early to medium-ripening white wine variety. Under the conditions of Pleven, its grapes ripen in the first half of September. The duration of the period from budding to technological ripeness of the grapes is about 150 days. The first leaf appears around 15-17.04 and the first inflorescence around 20-23.04. The variety is characterized by moderate growth, and its shoots ripen very well until the end of the growing season. Pleven dew is characterized by very high fertility and yield. In the region of Pleven, when training modified Moser and load of 28 winter eyes (2x8 + 6x2), the percentage of developed eyes is 79.30%, on the fruiting shoots is 77,03%and the fertility rate 1.29. High fertility is also possessed by the summer algae developed by the replacement and sleeping buds. The indicators of fertility and yield vary slightly along the length of the fruiting sticks. The yield from the vine is 4.576 kg and from a decare it reaches 1110-1200 kg. For obtaining grapes of higher quality, when growing stem molds, it is recommended to apply a short pruning system.
The variety is not prone to combing and millerandazh and is distinguished and distinguished by very good pollination and fertilization. The Pleven dew variety is characterized by increased resistance to mildew (2 bale), oidium (2 bale), gray rot (2-3 bale) and low winter temperatures (-23°/-25°C). The vines have a high regenerative capacity and spawning capacity, developed from buds that replace and sleep. The increased resistance of the variety to low temperatures makes it suitable for stem cultivation in all wine-growing regions of the country.
Technological characteristic:
The mechanical composition of the Pleven dew grapes is a typical wine variety. The percentage of grains is 96.49%, and on the bunches 3,51%. In the structure of the grain, the skins are 8,42%, seeds – 2,88%and the mesocarp 88.70%. The theoretical rate of must is 85.59%. The percentage of accumulated sugars is moderate, with a normal ratio of sugars and titratable acids preserving the specific muscat aroma of the grapes. In technological maturity, the sugar content is 20-22%, and titratable acids 5-6 g/dm3. The dry wines produced from the Pleven dew variety are distinguished by a straw-green color, pleasant freshness, combined with a gentle miskete aroma, harmonious. Alcohol, titratable acidity and extract are within the requirements for white wines. The tasting evaluations of Pleven dew wines average 77.40 bale (on the capital scale).
General assessment of the variety. Pleven dew is an early to medium-ripening white wine variety, ripening in the first half of September. The vines are moderately growing, with high fertility and yield. Due to its genetically determined increased resistance to fungal diseases, high fertility and good organoleptic and technological qualities of the grapes, the variety can be successfully grown in all wine-growing regions of the country and to obtain ecologically clean production of grapes and wine.
