Scientists from the Technical University of Texas - El Paso visited the Institute of Vine and Wine - Pleven

On 19 February 2025, the Institute of Vine and Wine was visited by a delegation from the Medical University of Pleven, which included two foreign scientists, Assoc. Radosveta Wells, Program Director for Emergency Medicine Specialization, Texas Tech University-El Paso, USA, and Brian Wilson, Head of Training at the Health Sciences Center of Texas Tech University-El Paso, Department of Emergency Medicine, member of the Health Simulation Training and Education Center (TECHS). The scientists are in Pleven on the occasion of the Eighth Conference on Simulation Education in Medicine of the Bulgarian Society of Simulation Medicine, which takes place in the period 20-22.02.2025 at the Telecommunication Endoscopic Center (TELETS) of MU-Pleven. The scientific event is organized under the auspices of the Rector of MU-Pleven Prof. Dr. Dobromir Dimitrov, MD. The forum is held in partnership with the American Heart Association (ANA) and the Bulgarian Cardiac Society. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov presented to the foreign guests the history of the institute, the main directions of scientific research and the contributions made during the long existence of the scientific unit. The guests visited the winery of IVV and got acquainted with one of the oldest enotecas in Europe, storing wines from 1892 to the present day. A tasting of red wine obtained from varieties selected in the Pleven IVV was carried out in the cellar.
